At first there was a wait but it’s understandable due to it being a Friday night. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I wanted to say a big thank you to the staff especially our waitress Jada. We celebrated my daughter Moana’s 4th birthday here tonight and we all had a wonderful time especially our birthday girl. If you guys go there be sure to ask for “Jada”. She has a great smile every time we put in an order and she’s very friendly. She really knows how to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Thank you GEN for a wonderful night. We will be back for sure.

Gen is a great place for BBQ. The meat quality is so fresh and great. The service is so welcoming and very efficient. There are so many options to choose from for either lunch or dinner. We were there for lunch. We picked Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Hawaiian Steak, Beef Bulgogi, Garlic Samgyubsal, Shrimp, Spicy Calamari, Assorted Vegetables. We also picked KFC and Cheese Tonkatsu as appetizers. They are all wonderfully flavored.

The restaurant is warm, inviting and delicious. A first class bar with signature drinks adds to the experience. Rachel and the crew treated us as family and demonstrated how to make the best of our experience. Will be back!

We had My Nephews Birthday party on Feb.28 and we had 23 people with us Rachel and Jada was awesome. We had kids of all ages and trust me they was in the way, but that didn't bother the staff at all. They were kind, friendly and the service was speedy and everything we expected and more. It was an amazing experience for my first time at the kapolei branch. We definitely will be back. Thank you for making our night a great one to remember.

Delicious food all you can eat , they bring over the raw meat and you cook it on the small hot pot on the table served with rice and kimchi as a side . The portions of the meat is small so you can add on more . Lots of spices and flavors that are unlike typical American cuisine. I don’t typically eat spicy food but these flavors were very savory and sweet .

My first time here, I appreciate the quickness and diligence to get us what we needed, our server MOCHA was literally the best server I have encountered in a long time. Honestly went above and beyond, never missed a detail and question. Great personality. Almost the whole reason I will back for more

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. My wife and I stumbled up on this place when we were out for our anniversary from Colorado, and oh my God the food and service is impeccable. Rachel, Alice and Lily made it extra special. I’m so glad we came here.

My husband and I went on a double date. We did not have to wait long because of our reservation time. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Our fellowship was great. After being seated. It started to get busier. So our service got slower. They forgot our side dishes that they normal serve you when you are seated, such as the kimchee, cucumber kimchee etc. But we finally got it! But overall it was great. I am planning to take my entire household of 11 there during lunch. It's like 20/person during lunch. You have to be there before they open because it gets crowded real quick. Hope you all try it for yourself!
